As part of its function to carryout assessments at the most appropriate level a World Food Program (WFP) joint team from Yaounde Cameroon Country Office and its Bameneda Field office paid a partner capacity valuation visit to COMINSUD on July 10th 2024. It was a follow-up of an online assessment previously conducted.

During the meeting, the standard areas assessed were the organizational, technical, operational, compliance accountability and community engagement partnership.
COMINSUD team members for over 2 hours explained their work in the above areas with proof of filed documentation to backup various aspects of policies and related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
COMINSUD was commended for its full participation in the meeting and promised that the Yaoundé team’s feedback will be reverted to them in the hope that it will facilitate improvement plans where improvements were needed.
Capacity assessment determines partners capacity (financial, human, managerial, etc) to deliver on a project. It is also used to build a database of potentially available partners for need in future scale-ups or emergencies.
It should be recalled that COMINSUD has been an implementing partner of the WFP in the North West Region since 2019.
This is great. We encourage WFP to be more serious now than ever to empower community Initiatives like COMINSUD to solve daring issues in crises areas.
