The Advocacy Project for Peace Education in Youth Settings in Cameroon shall carry out a Sensitization and Lobbying Campaign in Mezam Division under the theme: Cultivating a Culture of Peace: From Wishes to Actions.

This one month’s long event falls within the commemoration of the 25th Anniversaryof the International Day of Peace with high points being a Youth Workshop on the25th Sept. that will bring together over 100 youths and a Lobby Conference with Policy and Decision Makers of the Region on the 26th September 2024 in the Auditorium of the North West Regional Assembly.
The event is piloted by the 17 partner organizations of the Civil Peace Service (CPS) progammme in Cameroon supported by Bread for the World Germany. It aim at working towards breaking the chain that nurtures the cycle of violence in youth settings. The vision is to position and reposition young people to adopt a culture of peace and engage policy makers and decision makers to widen opportunities to enable young people live their full potentials.
The actions in Mezam are coordinated by The PCC Peace Office, Community Initiative for Sustainable Development (COMINSUD) and the In-service Training Programme (ISTP) of the PCC and CBC.
