COMINSUD Gains NGO Status

After nearly three decades of dedicated service to humanity, the Community Initiative for Sustainable Development (COMINSUD) has been officially recognized and granted the status of a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) by the Government of Cameroon. This is the essential of a July 3rd, 2025 decision signed by the country’s Minister of Territorial Administration Atanga Nji Paul.

This milestone marks a significant achievement for COMINSUD, acknowledging its tireless efforts and commitment to promoting sustainable development and improving the lives of communities. With this new status, COMINSUD reaffirms its pledge to continue serving mankind, driven by its mission to positively impact lives and foster sustainable growth.

With its new status as an NGO, COMINSUD is poised to expand its reach and impact, leveraging its experience and expertise to address pressing development challenges and create lasting change. The organization looks forward to collaborating with stakeholders, partners, and communities to achieve its goals and make a meaningful difference in the lives of people.

COMINSUD was founded in 1996 as development organization that works to empower communities towards achieving their development goals. It has since then remained true to its vision of assuring a responsive society where the principle and standards of good governance are respected and upheld for sustainable human and environmental development.
