Civil Peace Service: Peace Advocacy Project 2025 Launched in Bafoussam

The Community Initiative for Sustainable Development (COMINSUD) recently joined other national stakeholders of the Civil Peace Service (CPS) for the official launch of the 2025 Peace Advocacy Project, hosted by CIPCRE in Bafoussam.

Participants reviewed the implementation of last year’s pilot phase in Mezam (North West Region) and Mora (Far North Region), reflecting on key experiences, challenges, and best practices. COMINSUD representatives shared impactful outcomes from the 2024 Peace Education training, which has inspired tangible change across all seven divisions of Mezam and beyond. Strategies for continued monitoring and evaluation of impact were also discussed.

Partner organisations outlined their commitments for the 2025 implementation and nominated host regions for this year’s activities.

Launched as a pilot in 2024, the Peace Education Project seeks to foster a culture of peace and non-violence by integrating Peace Education into youth settings across all community sectors. It also aims to engage a wide range of stakeholders through targeted advocacy Initiatives.
