Community Initiative for Sustainable Development COMINSUD participated in a transformative two-day workshop organized by UNFPA Cameroon and UNFPA West and Central Africa, themed “Capacity Strengthening for Women’s Led Organizations.” Represented by its social inclusion officer, Fonchin Alyce, the initiative gathered leaders from 18 women’s organizations across the Northwest region. This enriching experience focused on crucial topics like governance, inclusive leadership, and strategic planning, fostering not only a deeper understanding of effective organizational structures but also a spirit of collaboration and unity among participants. Each session was designed to equip these leaders with the tools needed to navigate challenges and enhance their impact within their communities.
The workshop proved to be both timely and empowering, providing invaluable guidance on program design, donor engagement, and project implementation. Attendees left with enhanced skills in financial management and human resource practices, alongside renewed connections to share best practices and lessons learned. As COMINSUD in its mission, this experience will undoubtedly strengthen our capacity to drive sustainable development in the communities. COMINSUD is committed to transforming insights into action, ensuring that community organizations are empowered to achieve their goals, creating a brighter future for the Northwest region.
