The Regional Director of the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) sitting in Dakar Senegal, Yann Fevre, has expressed satisfaction with the collaboration between DRC and COMINSUD. He was visiting in Bamenda Tuesday 2nd June, 2026, to assess the work of its partners and the level of project implementation.
COMINSUD is one of the implementing partners of the DRC sponsored- First Line local Assistance for Swift Humanitarian “FLASH” response project in the North West Region of Cameroon.
The meeting focused on the overall context prevailing in the North West Region, strategies and synergies for future collaboration.
Happy to receive the DRC Regional Director, the Coordinator of COMINSUD Fon Nsoh, said the visit was a sign of future stronger partnership especially as the two organizations had the same vision when it came to emergency assistance. He however expressed the wish for the DRC to see beyond emergency assistance to building resilience amongst vulnerable and needy populations.
In response, Yann Fevre assured that even within the prevailing context of dwindling funding, DRC will keep striving to source for resources to meet emergency assistance. He was satisfied with COMINSUD’S record of accomplishment after 30 years of existence and hoped that COMINSUD be part of their next vision of “Anticipatory Action” to reduce the response period in case of an emergency.
